Special Olympics
We also volunteer with Special Olympic's young athletes program. This is a physical education program for children ages 3-7 with intellectual disabilities. We teach pre-team sports skills so that the children will be prepared to begin Special Olympics at age 8.
C.O.R.E
Center Of Response Education is a program offered by Columbia Public Schools for at-promise children with special needs. We are able to help engage the students in activities that help them with learning and decision making.
In the Classroom
We volunteer all year long with the Columbia Public Schools in a community skills classroom at the high school level. We general teach a life skills lesson and work alongside cooperating teachers.
